The presentations for this month's Coordination of Care meeting are focused on patient-facing eHealth applications:

Utilizing CCD as a provincial data source for a patient portal – Wayne Heth
Wayne Heth is a senior developer and has been an application architect for Saskatchewan EHR, HIAL and Portal for the past 7 years. In his presentation he will discuss the services and interfaces that were developed for eHealth Saskatchewan to enable the data integration with Telus HealthSpace and Microsoft HealthVault. As part of the presentation, we will also hear about some of the important lessons learned from the development of this patient portal.

e-Booking Initiative Update – Cassie Frazer
Cassie Frazer, Program Director Consumer Health and Innovation, will be presenting on Infoway’s e-Booking initiative. The e-Booking initiative offered licensed physicians and nurse practitioners, in community-based or ambulatory care settings, financial support to partially offset costs associated with implementing an e-Booking solution. Included in this presentation will be a review of the benefits realized from e-Booking and a report on the experiences to date with running the initiative.
