Standards Collaborative Peer Award
The Standards Collaborative Peer Award recognizes outstanding achievement in the advancement of health information standards in Canada.
Nominations for the 2009 Peer Award were accepted from September 15, 2009 to October 14, 2009. Thank you to everyone who submitted nominations. We are looking forward to awarding this year's Peer Award to the well deserved recipient on Monday, November 2, 2009 at the Partnership Conference Welcome Reception and InfoFair. We will post the name of the winner here concurrently with our post event updates.
The selection of this year's winner adhered to the following criteria and followed the outlined nomination and selection process detailed below.
Criteria:
- Nominees may be any Canadian group or individual who has demonstrated significant achievement in the advancement of health information standards in Canada.
- Nomination(s) must be made by a Standards Collaborative member although nominees need not necessarily be members.
Nomination and selection process:
- Open nomination process within the SC membership begins in the summer of each year.
- A communication regarding the nomination process is sent to the SC membership. The nomination form, submission instructions and deadlines are posted on the website prior to the nomination period.
- The Standards Collaborative collates the nominations received by the deadline.
- A Review Group then discusses all nominations and determines the award recipient.
- The award is presented at the Infoway Standards Collaborative Fall Partnership Conference.
